Proactive Drought Management Plans
Proactive Drought Management Plans are strategic planning instruments designed to anticipate and mitigate the impacts of droughts in the State of Ceará. Coordinated by the Chief Scientist Program – Water Resources, these plans are developed at multiple spatial scales, including hydrosystems, river basins, perennial river valleys, and municipalities, to enhance water security and strengthen local resilience and response capacity.
Objective
To plan proactive actions for drought preparedness by establishing guidelines, strategies, and operational procedures for each spatial scale, ensuring the efficient use of water resources and promoting public participation in decision-making processes.
