The project entitled "Review, Development, and Enhancement of Water Services Regulation in Brazil" aims to examine and strengthen the regulatory framework governing irrigation services in the country. Through a series of coordinated activities, objectives, and research goals, the project analyzes the current legal, institutional, and operational frameworks applicable to Brazil's irrigated districts while also exploring international trends through the exchange of knowledge, strategic technical visits, and collaboration with national and international experts. The project also promotes discussions on the findings of this assessment, presenting the results to policymakers and managers from the relevant sectors. Ultimately, the research will provide recommendations for improving the regulation of irrigation service contracts in Brazil, together with a proposed regulatory framework and an implementation roadmap for its adoption.
