➡️About

“Seca em Jogo” is a tool designed not only to inform, but also to engage and encourage active public participation in the development of proactive drought management plans.

🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 The project originates from Ceará and is being developed under the Chief Scientist Program for Water Resources (Funcap), through a joint effort with the Ceará Foundation for Meteorology and Water Resources (Funceme), the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), and the Water Resources Management Company (Cogerh). It also receives support from the Secretariat of Water Resources (SRH) and the French government’s Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD). The project has been gaining national recognition and was selected as a finalist for the ANA Award 2023 in the Higher Education and Research – Education category.

With an engaged and informed population regarding the actions that should be taken before, during, and after such events, the aim is to mitigate conflicts and build consensus among different water users, especially during critical periods such as droughts.

➡️ Redesign

The decision to redesign the visual identity of Seca em Jogo was made internally by the facilitators, who recognized its potential for growth and the need to consolidate its identity in order to expand its application. The redesign was undertaken by the communications team of the Cientista Chefe: Water Resources Program at FUNCAP and the Strategic Center of Excellence in Water and Drought Policy (CEPAS/UFC), with the aim of harmonizing graphic elements and making the game more appealing and representative. The changes sought not only to modernize the design but also to incorporate symbols, colors, and visual references that more accurately reflect the dynamics of water management in the Brazilian semi-arid region.
